The word Metaverse has been bandied about in many different senses lately, but the general public needs to learn what a metaverse is. Everything from AR (augmented reality), to VR (virtual reality), to MR (mixed reality), to 3D, etc., is considered a Metaverse today, but it's not quite that. The essence of the Metaverse is in projects or solutions where people, represented by avatars, meet and have interactions with each other and/or with products or consume digital content. Then other updates or modifications appear, namely in decentralized environments where it is possible to buy digital assets, if you want objects through virtual currencies, live in virtual worlds, purchase land there, etc. Nothing less in its essence, it is instead a kind of superstructure.
Now let's take a closer look at what the Metaverse looks like, which we have created on the VIRTULOC platform.
VIRTULOC is a very new platform, but there are several 3D templates available that can be easily configured for different purposes and you can have a lot of fun. By this, we mean insert your own content into the 3D world and customize the branding and colors to match the company manual. Within the VIRTULOC platform, it is also possible to insert 3D models with animations. 3D models can be inserted in GLB format. No less, the data must be optimized and prepared to meet the conditions of a real-time environment. Now let's take a closer look at the Volkswagen virtual world.
Company presentation in the metaverse
What can a company presentation in Metaverse look like? The start of the whole virtual experience is where we are in the picture. You can create a virtual presentation here as a comprehensive background of your company, including reception, history, products, etc. The advantage is that you can create the visual style and representation as comprehensively as you need. The template we used on VIRTULOC for the project is comprehensive enough to accommodate a lot of exciting content, from company presentations to products to merchandising.
Gift items for sale
One of the sections we have prepared is the sale of gift items. At Metaverse, this is something we can create straightforwardly and engagingly. Gift items can have unique designs and rotate in different ways or contain animations. They don't need to be physically made, they can be bought virtually. Today's younger generations are growing up on platforms like ROBLOX to purchase digital assets. It's the same in this Metaverse, where VW fans can buy the brand's promotional items.
NFT and metaverse
NFTs are the next generation of digital ownership. Whether or not they have merit is for everyone to evaluate. But they are certainly an exciting form just for virtual worlds and Metaverse. In cooperation with Volkswagen, we have prepared design collections of photos of production cars. This is just an example of how the company can also sell digital art in the form of NFT in the future.
Live stream and virtual events
The next part of our Metaverse is the live stream and event zone. This is used for presentations in the company at local events and outwards to the public. Users are represented here by avatars who can express their feelings with emoticons/emojis. At the same time, these animations help to build a relaxed atmosphere at each event. As far as live streaming is concerned, here it is possible to show yourself on camera in the form of a video, share the screen or run videos. The total recommended limit of people per event is 300. If more people join than the recommended limit, another instance of the world will be automatically created on VIRTULOC, which can be filled again. In this way, it is possible to scale people almost infinitely.
